60s Inspired Florida Look Book; What I Wore

Something about warm weather and the idea of being in Florida made me feel the need to channel by inner 60s gal. I wanted to look classic, cute and effortless. I channeled small prints, dainty accessories, low heels and mid calf length dresses to achieve this dreamy vibe. Watch the video HERE to see all my favorite looks:

Of course, mixing in my Margiela Tabi‘s, a new Run & Follow top, and some more modern pieces keeps this look book from being too reminiscent. That is the beauty of modern day fashion however, through thrifting and thoughtful styling you can channel many different aspect of many different times. (Shop new arrivals in the web store HERE)

Here are my styling tips to achieve this look books style: The popular trend of hair clips or small print polka dots is one way to channel your inner 60s babe. Another way is to reinvent the cardigan of your childhood by buttoning just the top button. The GoodWill near me is overflowing with cardigans. Mine is thrifted, but originally from J. Crew. Cardigans also work well for Florida because many restaurants have the air conditioning on high to battle the heat of outside. The mid calf dresses, another subtle nod to the 60s were primarily thrifted, except for the chocolate brown polka dot number which was gifted to me. (Purchased from Urban Outfitters similar HERE.)

The days of halter tops are way over for me, but I love the jeans/red orange paisley number. The chocolate dress from Urban Outfitters is beautiful, mini skirt/long blouse with hair clip very 60’s, and the cardigan shorts outfit is so summer in the Catskills ( or year round in South Florida). Love them all!!!
Hard to believe the 60’s is 60 years ago….
    Miss you.
