The Wicked Witch Wears Mustard.

The Wicked Witch Wears Mustard.

For a day in the city of shopping and a birthday celebration that night I needed an outfit that was weather appropriate, comfortable, but also a dash of dressed up. I suited up in these amazing black faux leather pants from Tiger Mist. Your booty needs these pants. They fit perfectly, high waisted, flattering and easy to walk in and unlike other leather/ faux leather pants I have worn these were comfortable all day and night. For my top I layered a Free People turtle neck with a yellow ribbed cami top from PacSun.

Picking up from the 1960s, then again in the 1980s and being resurged again in the past two seasons, my shoes pay ode to the classic comfortable kitten heel. The tapered tight fit of the ankle is reminiscent of the sock heel popularized in Rihanna’s Fendi collection. I love a piece with a good history. It’s 2018 and originality is more about how someone styles something then an innovative design in many cases. These particular heels however are no new boots but a pair I found buried in the back of my moms closet!

To finish my look off I wore a blue suede trench coat that I inherited from my late Grammie.

To me, this look says down town, it says brunching, it says savvy, powerful, put together. What else could I ask for in a look?

What do you think of these shoes? Would you rock a kitten heel? My shoes are vintage but shop some revival trends I love here!!!

With love,

Anna B
