The unusual burst of warmth, probably due to the climate crisis, but I’ll leave that point alone, has created a uncertain limbo in the world of fashion. Stocks of sweaters, jackets, etc sit in stores idly because who’s going to shop for layers when its 80 degrees out? Regardless, where theres a will theres a way and many fast fashion, retail giants and fashion influencers alike are finding ways to thwart the summer heat while still rocking fall trends. Here’s my take on combatting this strange season:
My statement sweater is from SheIn, (SHOP IT HERE) when they reached out to me and offered to let me try product I knew I needed this piece. The white color and pink in the furry stripes scream summer color scheme (also one of my favorite color schemes), while the style and fur accents make the piece more suited for the fall and winter seasons. As far as sweaters go, the material is somewhat light so I could layer it in the winter and wear the loose fit comfortably on a middle temperature day styled correctly.
To stay cool I styled it with a ripped denim skirt from Pacsun and my millennial pink slip on sneakers with the knot detailing. I love the fur and knot accents on otherwise simple pieces, the details always make a look pop!
SheIn is one of the cheapest fast fashion sources I’ve found, with extraordinarily competitive pricing and a monopoly on trends. Check them out here.
